Funny… I must have missed main stream media’s coverage of the strike. What could possibly keep them from making a big deal about it? /s

My two cents. They are trying to make sure the liberals stay faithful that the “system is working”. They got the Jimmy win and it really feels like manufactured concent to me.

I don’t think the Trump admin was even a part of it. I think they are really just doing a lot of threats on the wims of a madman. But I think Disney saw this as an opportunity to lend some stability to the liberals that are quickly becoming more radicalized. I think they saw it as an opportunity to kill a dying late night show format too but that’s beside the point.

Maybe it wasn’t on purpose. It doesn’t really matter. But I think his return really was not so much a loss for Trump (egowise it was I guess) as it was a means of stabilizing the liberal base. Giving them faith that the system is still functioning in their favor sometimes.

Let’s be real. The liberals cancelling their Disney+ was the most activism most Americans have done in their lifetime.

Sadly the things that will radicalize liberals would be these meaningless (by comparison) Jimmy Kimmel type things. At least as a first step towards it.

I unfortunately see it as a loss for the left. It’s a meaningless victory in my eyes that only makes liberals feel comfortable.

Maybe I’m just too pessimistic though. But I can’t tell anymore.

The alternate reading of this is that corporations have such a stranglehold over the Italian government that they can get them to commit military assets towards ending strikes.
