It does not matter if she goated them or not. There is no situation where the things they are doing are justified.

There is nothing she could have done that would require them to act like they did.

Give me one example what she could have done where beating her up and forcing her to kiss a flag would apropiate responce.

Imagine if somebody would kick your ass because you write stupid opinions online and then some asshole would say you are responsible for your ass whoopping.

The same math is there too. They can afford to loose one third of new subscribers to get the same amount of money.

But their new customer acquisition cost wont get higher at the same pace and they get more valuable customers whose payback period will be shorter.

Also i dont think its relevant here, but less customers means less operating costs, so they will most likelly save some money on customer service and behind the scenes things like server upkeeps etc., but i dont think these make real difference here.

Also if for some reason things start to go bad they still have option to create “a budget version” for the people who see the normal subscrition as too expencive.

What the fuck? Lol. They are not cartoony villains preying for the old and weak.

Somebody has made a calculation, that shows that they will make more money from people who takes the deal than they are going to loose money from people who get mad and leave their enviroment.

In the future they will do test how far they can go using a/b test and/or testing different markets.

Your points are valid though and i understand where you are coming from.

I would just want to point out that things like water, health care and education are more important human rights than access to internet and by that i mean those are things society should make sure are available for everyone, even those who for some reason have no acces to internet.

If providing internet to everyone is the most cost effective way to make sure everybody has access to more important things that are critical for survival it should be provided, but i dont think internet in its self is neccessity for live.
