The diplomatic accord reached between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Iran in March 2023 should be viewed not as a conclusion, but as a foundational step toward greater regional cohesion. In this context, I believe it is imperative that the Islamic world pursue a level of unity and strategic alignment that transcends petty sectarian and nationalist differences. Israel in how it views Muslim countries is effectively Pan-Islamic, it views all Muslims regardless of sect or nationality as equally human-like animals, it behoves Muslim nations to act as Pan-Islamic bloc overcoming differences both historic and imposed by colonialism.
