It’s nice to know that a generation of Germans saying they had a “special understanding” of genocide because of their history were right. They had a special understanding of how to get away with enacting and supporting genocides.

Like, I’m not German. But literally everything they teach about their history and being “accepting” of their peoples crimes. Like, do they just throw that in a trashbin now and go back to full fascist again?

With the way they treat Muslims it seems so. Thousands of Holocaust scholars and historians just completely useless to that society.

You’re not “special” Germans. Your brain rot is rivaling that of America.

the de-nazification of Germany never truly happened. CEOs complicit in the violence got let go. I think there is a fern video on that. I believe (this)[https://youtu.be/-WX5zOdMprc] outlines some of the most prevelant nazi CEOs that got away.

Its not all German’s but the ones in power and the idiots eating their shitty propaganda. The majority 52% has a negative view of isreal, not everyone is of the understanding that its a genocide only 33%. 66% approve sactions on arms export. The crimes of the second world war are still taught a lot in school. The unfiltered history is still on display in museum etc. (i don’t know of any country that does that, most countries with a dark history just push it under a rug and never mention it.) That being said our current government is right-wing piece of shit flirting with the new popular fascist party and taking legitimacing their ideas. Its bad and people seem more brain damaged than ever atm. The divide and conquer tactic is working, extremely well on the population.

As a german, the whole “we learned from our mistakes and render our backs bloody each morning” was never real, well only as real as those white people in america who cosplay as slaves to “wash away” white privilege or something. And it only happened truly in the 80s, there was revisionist history abound, just like in southern united states.

The narrative was always very limited and bent to exclude political opponents du jour, after all west germany was supposed to fight slavs, communists and soviets which were 2/3 of the nazi enemies. Preventing actual resurgence of nazism would have meant dismantling capitalist white supremacist and imperialist power structures and in the end UK, France and the United States were counting on those staying.
