What people don’t seem to get is that these platforms don’t have any secret sauce. Tiktok could be cloned by a team of students in a few weeks.
The platform isn’t actually valuable. It’s the user base.
Hosting video is hard. You’d need a large team of sysadmins, and they would make a lot of mistakes before it was stable.
