- It was never his intention to make light of the murder of Kirk.
- That he asks for compassion.
- That he’s not blaming any specific group.
- That the alleged shooter was a deeply disturbed and sick individual.
- That he gets why people were upset about his previous remarks.
- That he has many friends and family members on the opposite side politically.
- That violence is never the solution.
- That the people on the right he knows and loves don’t send him death threats.
